Enabling the energy transition towards deep decarbonization
Announcing Stellenergy, LLC, a startup developing technologies and products enabling the energy transition into deep decarbonization by focusing on hard-to-decarbonize uses of energy, particularly for industry.
Ultralow-Cost Long Duration Energy Storage (UCLDES*) is at the core of the business. Compact Solar Towers as a primary energy input is our other focus.

Who we are
Lindsey Yue
Lindsey is a problem solver, critical thinker, and leader.
Her technical background is in the thermal sciences (thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics), as well as thermochemistry and concentrating solar thermal technologies. Her research interests include (1) thermochemical processes for commodity production and chemical energy storage, (2) next generation solar thermal power and energy storage, and (3) sustainable energy systems and infrastructure.
She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN and a doctorate degree in engineering from the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. She did her post-doctoral research on high-temperature solar thermal energy technologies at the National Solar Thermal Test Facility at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM.
With interests ranging from horticulture to fiber arts, equitable curriculum development to DIY projects, Lindsey is an engineer and so much more.
